Co-founder, Evidence Systems

Romanos Boraine

Background

Romanos Boraine is co-founder of Evidence Systems, a data systems company in Cape Town. He leads method, delivery and sales, and is the named data reviewer on the company's work: the person who checks that each claim in a finished report traces back to its source.

He studied Brand Communication, specialising in Multimedia Design, at Vega School, where he received the Pencil Award for Multimedia Design and the Fresh Cream Award. He then worked in brand, marketing, and project and commercial management before moving into data work. Since March 2025 he has worked on data analysis for research and public-sector projects, including the partner reporting, legislation mapping, public submissions and field research in our case studies.

He writes about traceability, AI-ready data, monitoring and evaluation reporting, and qualitative evidence: how information is collected, structured, reviewed, cited and handed over so teams can keep using it.
